Happy Saturday
I'm going home for Thanksgiving on Tuesday! I'm so excited. There is one problem and that is that I don't want to do any homework, and I kind of have a lot of reading to do. But I'm going home on Tuesday and on Thursday I'll get to stuff my mouth and stomach full of all of this delicious food. I'm so excited. Oh yeah, I just remembered something I heard on Thursday that is preposterous. One of the Physics TA's doesn't like turkey and so on Thanksgiving he eats ribs, not turkey, RIBS. Can you believe that? He's like not even american. Get out of here person, at least on Thanksgiving. Maybe I'm just too excited to eat turkey, but I love turkey, and c'mon, it's practically a law that you have to eat turkey on Thanksgiving. Okay so maybe it's not, but turkey is pretty great. Anyway, happy saturday.

Muffins
Today I made muffins. I used a blueberry muffin mix. The reason why I had blueberry muffin mix was because the store only had that kind, I personally don't enjoy blueberry muffin mix as much as other kinds (like poppyseed) but I am not so picky as to not eat the blueberry muffins. So as I read the instructions they said to drain the blueberries, inferring that the blueberries are not actually mixed with the powder in the package. You get to add them yourself. This filled my soul with delight because that means I could just not add the blueberries. And another secret is that I have a huge bag of chocolate chips in the freezer so I substituted those in for the blueberries and magically I made chocolate chip muffins instead! Victory is mine once again. Happy Wednesday!

People Trying To Be Helpful
It seems to me adults are always trying to make you figure things out for yourself and they claim "I'm trying to help you grow and develop" or "this is to help you". No. No in fact it isn't. If you just tell me the answer to what I asked in the first place, that would help me. Not telling me and making me find out something by searching for it and wasting tons of extra time is not going to help me or make me be a "better person" or whatever else adults tell me. Making me figure it out on my own is just going to make me angry because, "hello, what do you think I was doing? I was figuring it out, I was asking you so that I could find the answer, from you, otherwise I would have just gone looking for the answer somewhere else." One such instance of this is that I needed to ask some people questions about their career for a Career Exploration class I am in. I don't get points for the answer so much as for the actual notes from the interview. One of the people I asked to answer the questions I had, told me I should find the answers and she would tell me whether they were right or wrong. Ummm, no thank you, the assignment was to interview people. I already had other assignments where I researched the occupations. Just answer the questions people. I don't get why people find it so hard to answer questions, directly, answering exactly what I asked for. I'm not trying to get out of doing more work, I seriously just need to get my assignment done. Stop trying to help by not answering the question. Just act like a socially normal human being instead of turning everything into a bigger project than it already is. But, I guess this is all part of the human experience. Nice.

Great Hair.
Riley Nelson, this one's for you. As many of you know, there is a strict dress code here at BYU. As part of that dress code boys have to keep there hair pretty short (I don't know the exact requirements, you can look them up if you want). Some boys try to stretch the standard and grow their hair out to the maximum limit. I usually don't find long hair on guys very attractive, but some guys just have great "long" hair (long is in quotes because let's be honest, at BYU their hair can't get that long). When such great long hair is the case it makes you think "It would be a shame to force them to cut that hair, it looks so amazing". And that's the way life is. It just flows so well. It's like Ethan's hair on Lizzie McGuire. You just can't help but admire the finesse (for lack of a better word). And then there are most of the other guys on campus who just have really average looking hair. Same hair cut, parted to one side, cut short, you know, the missionary hair cut. But I guess that's better than having no hair for people so young. Which is the case for some unfortunate men on campus. Anyway, for those guys out there with great hair, keep up the good work. For everyone else, keep up the average work. Peace out.

"You'll Never Miss"
Well, I'm bored right now and I've been studying pretty hard for the past three days so I decided it was time to take a break. When someone encourages you to take a chance on something because it might turn out okay they often say "Shoot for the moon, because even if you miss you'll land among the stars". I recently heard a different version of this quote that I like much better because let's face it, who wants to end up where they didn't want to be in the first place. If you aim for the moon, you want to get to the moon not floating around in space. Plus stars are way farther away than the moon is and odds are you'd never get to any star (first off you'd die before you got off of earth, and second supposing you made it to a star you would burn up when if you got too close LAMESAUCE). Anyway so here's the other quote "If you shoot for the moon you may land amoung the star, but if you shoot for the ground you'll never miss". How's that for success. You'll never miss! That's more like it. This just goes to show that if you set your expectations high, you'll always be disappointed, but if you set them low, you'll find yourself pleasantly accepting of your outcome. Man shooting for the moon really is a dumb saying. Do you know how many people have made it too the moon? Twelve. Twelve people out of all the people who have lived on this planet have made it too the moon. Odds are not in anyone's favor. So does that mean that taking risks is really a stupid decision? Hmmm.

Story Time - people who look like other people
Well, I don't have any more homework and it is only 7:48 so I figured I would write on the blog. I have no idea what to talk about though, maybe I'll make up a story. So one day there was this guy named Steven. And he was a TA in one of my classes. After a month of school I was walking to my class and Steven walked past, but on second analysis of him I realized IT WASN'T HIM it was a look alike, or as I like to call them, dopplegangers. They roam the earth, looking exactly like someone else, only they are completely different people. Whether for good or evil, no one can be sure, all we can do is wait, watch, and see what happens. Anyway I saw doppleganger and it was a little freaky. As I later came to find out, Steven did in fact have a twin. Who knew right! Oh the irony! Anyway then fast forward another month and you'll find me sitting in the lunch room eating. Then out of the blue Steven walked past, only it wasn't him, it was his twin. Or was it? I wasn't sure so I investigated further and concluded that no, it was not Steven, and in fact was not even his twin because his twin doesn't go to this school. Doppleganger strikes again. And the greatest thing about this story is that it's true. Names may have been changed for confidential reasons. Well, that was fun, but now I'm going to be done. Have a great day everyone. And remember "Never take life seriously, nobody gets out alive anyway" (or don't remember it, it's not that big of a deal).

Explanation of my Blog Title and Other Stuff
Well, this is my first post thingy ever! Sweet! Anyway I guess I'll start out by explaining the title of my blog page. Today, Nov. 1 we had a devotional here at school and President Monson spoke to us. It was super great and holy cow he is an amazing person! There was one quote in his talk that I really liked that went something like this:
"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience, we are spiritual beings having a human experience"
I thought that was super cool and unique, then randomly I thought that would be a good blog title (because I've been thinking of starting a blog for a few weeks so it's been on my mind). So there you have it folks, The Human Experience. I'm not going to lie though, my human experiences are probably not very cool. Whatever, it's fine.
And now a few words about college life. First: Food - Pretty much there have been weeks where I literally ate Top Ramen every day, and I mean every day, for more than two weeks straight. I ate other food too but I ate Top Ramen at least once a day. Pretty great huh? Now I alternate between Top Ramen and grilled turkey sandwiches. Both are easy and good but turkey and bread go bad WAY before Top Ramen so they take precedence.
Second: I don't remember - I was going to talk about something else, but I forgot what is was when I was talking about food. Yeah, it kind of has that affect on me sometimes. Oh I think it might've been about classes, but I can't say for sure. Hmmmm. Well I guess some things just aren't meant to be said.
Lastly: My Writing - This doesn't have to do as much with college as it does with my writing skills. I must warn all who dare to embark on reading my blog that sometimes what I write won't make sense, or may have some other errors. I know that drives some people insane, and sadly for all of you in that such situation, it doesn't bug me enough to prompt me to actually read over my posts before I post them so they will continue to have those errors. Good luck. And don't hurt yourself.
As my brother always says "Peace out"
