"You'll Never Miss"

Well, I'm bored right now and I've been studying pretty hard for the past three days so I decided it was time to take a break. When someone encourages you to take a chance on something because it might turn out okay they often say "Shoot for the moon, because even if you miss you'll land among the stars". I recently heard a different version of this quote that I like much better because let's face it, who wants to end up where they didn't want to be in the first place. If you aim for the moon, you want to get to the moon not floating around in space. Plus stars are way farther away than the moon is and odds are you'd never get to any star (first off you'd die before you got off of earth, and second supposing you made it to a star you would burn up when if you got too close LAMESAUCE). Anyway so here's the other quote "If you shoot for the moon you may land amoung the star, but if you shoot for the ground you'll never miss". How's that for success. You'll never miss! That's more like it. This just goes to show that if you set your expectations high, you'll always be disappointed, but if you set them low, you'll find yourself pleasantly accepting of your outcome. Man shooting for the moon really is a dumb saying. Do you know how many people have made it too the moon? Twelve. Twelve people out of all the people who have lived on this planet have made it too the moon. Odds are not in anyone's favor. So does that mean that taking risks is really a stupid decision? Hmmm.
