People Trying To Be Helpful
It seems to me adults are always trying to make you figure things out for yourself and they claim "I'm trying to help you grow and develop" or "this is to help you". No. No in fact it isn't. If you just tell me the answer to what I asked in the first place, that would help me. Not telling me and making me find out something by searching for it and wasting tons of extra time is not going to help me or make me be a "better person" or whatever else adults tell me. Making me figure it out on my own is just going to make me angry because, "hello, what do you think I was doing? I was figuring it out, I was asking you so that I could find the answer, from you, otherwise I would have just gone looking for the answer somewhere else." One such instance of this is that I needed to ask some people questions about their career for a Career Exploration class I am in. I don't get points for the answer so much as for the actual notes from the interview. One of the people I asked to answer the questions I had, told me I should find the answers and she would tell me whether they were right or wrong. Ummm, no thank you, the assignment was to interview people. I already had other assignments where I researched the occupations. Just answer the questions people. I don't get why people find it so hard to answer questions, directly, answering exactly what I asked for. I'm not trying to get out of doing more work, I seriously just need to get my assignment done. Stop trying to help by not answering the question. Just act like a socially normal human being instead of turning everything into a bigger project than it already is. But, I guess this is all part of the human experience. Nice.
