Frog Lab . . . The Wild Times
So I work/volunteer in a frog lab. I take care of frogs a couple times a week changing their water and feeding them etc. The frogs are a bit jumpy as is to be expected because it is in their nature, but so far I had never had one get away before this eventful thursday. I go into the lab as usual to take care of them. This week though, has been different from the beginning. On monday this other lab started moving all of their equipment into our small room which is already over crowded with equipment. Because of this said equipment being moved into the room there is now only a walkway around a big desk for free walking space in the room. On the afore mentioned thursday I go into the lab to find about five other people already at their specified equipment in the small overly crowded room. After getting annoyed in my head about their stuff being on my desk space, I go to work getting the frog bins onto the cart to change the water. I get all the water changed for the frogs and as I go to pick up a frog to move it from one bin to another it makes a great leap and slips out of my hands, falling, falling, down to the hard floor below. I let out an "oh no!" as it jumps and slids around on the floor. All the people now turn to see what's going on as I bolt for the frog. Because the frog is so slippery though, I just can't catch it. By this point, everyone else in the room is laughing at me while I'm still chasing the frog around. Each time I catch it, it slips out of my hands and I continue running after it. Finally I capture the slippery beast, run to the sink to rinse her off, and then run back to the bins and dump her in. It was pretty intense, and embarassing with all these people just laughing at me. I admit that I laughed too because let's face it, that whole scene was hilarious.
